Operator playbook
Design a useful charter lead form
A lead form should collect the minimum information needed for the next commercial decision. Explain where the details go and what happens afterward so completion does not create false expectations.
A practical sequence
- Start with dates, party size and contact details required by your sales process.
- Make nonessential planning details optional or collect them during the conversation.
- Validate inputs and show an accurate handoff or server-confirmed success state.
What to check before acting
Opening WhatsApp is not proof that a message was sent. If your form prepares a message, say so and let the visitor review it.
The signal to track
Form starts, valid completions and verified received enquiries
Use your own operating records and a consistent comparison period. Mark information that is incomplete rather than treating it as zero. If the sample is small, review individual enquiries before drawing a broad conclusion.
Use this in your next review
Choose one available charter offer and a set of recent enquiries. Write down the current approach, the first step above that is missing and the person responsible for improving it.
- Offer and vessel being reviewed
- Evidence available for this signal: Form starts, valid completions and verified received enquiries
- One change, one owner and a date to review it
If the answer is unclear, investigate that gap before spending more on traffic. Keep offer changes separate from process changes so the team can interpret what happened.
