Operator playbook

Choose one primary charter enquiry action

A landing needs one clear primary action that matches the guest’s current decision. Secondary actions can explain the offer, but they should not compete with requesting availability or a relevant quote.

A practical sequence

  1. Choose whether this page is asking for availability, a quote or a business conversation.
  2. Use a specific button label that describes the next screen or channel.
  3. Reduce decorative arrows and competing buttons around the main action.

What to check before acting

“Book now” is misleading if the next step only opens a general chat. Match the action label to what the visitor can actually accomplish.

The signal to track

Primary-action clicks progressing to useful enquiries

Use your own operating records and a consistent comparison period. Mark information that is incomplete rather than treating it as zero. If the sample is small, review individual enquiries before drawing a broad conclusion.

Use this in your next review

Choose one available charter offer and a set of recent enquiries. Write down the current approach, the first step above that is missing and the person responsible for improving it.

  • Offer and vessel being reviewed
  • Evidence available for this signal: Primary-action clicks progressing to useful enquiries
  • One change, one owner and a date to review it

If the answer is unclear, investigate that gap before spending more on traffic. Keep offer changes separate from process changes so the team can interpret what happened.
